Kazimierz Kasprzak
Partner · Grand Rapids
Kaz runs the Grand Rapids office, where most of his cases are parenting plans, mediations and stepparent adoptions.
He trained as a mediator before he went to law school, and still thinks the best parenting plans are written by the parents with a lawyer holding the pen. When a case does need a judge, he's in the Kent County courthouse often enough to know how each courtroom runs.
He grew up in Grand Rapids' West Side, speaks Polish with his grandmother and coaches his daughter's soccer team in Kentwood.

How Kaz works
Kaz starts with a draft schedule on one page and a calendar of the coming school year, so both parents can see their weeks before anyone argues about them.
He tells you after every mediation session what moved, what didn't and what he'd do next.
